Fog 04:19
guitars, drums, synth, lead vox: kai trombone, euphonium, trumpet, casio, shortwave radio, fuzz: francis bass, harmonies: charlie As you were born you were just as small Sailing through the pictures on our wall And I'll let you sleep in a quiet place Left with nothing to erase Nothing stays quite the same here Cuz we're just mice runnin' round a sphere And see the chains tied to our feet Bruised from the branches' prickly heat Death's unable to defeat So we dance with the devil until Our spirit's complete One day you'll grow up from the ground Sticking out yer neck to look around From twisted branches and sickly leaves You'll do as you please Nothing stays quite the same here Cuz we're just mice runnin' round a sphere We will swim beneath your trees Sprouting out with our disease Feel us curling round your hair We're all just thin air (We're all just thin air!)

guitar, tambo, synth, casio, singing saw, vox: kai accordion, tambo: francis harmonies, piano: charlie omnichord: kajsa "the wicked witch of the västerort" magnfors I know you better now, than I ever wanted And the satisfaction of knowing never comes as a thrill Lay it down now, Lay it down now And were your eyes seeing me seeing the way that I saw you? And was the person staring back a familiar face? Look in between the lines you have sown, you will find it's right here It's holding your hand, it will take you to land Now you sit in a world that has become strange And the images from the windows seem small Lay it down now, Lay it down now But I am not a picture, I am not made of stone I stand before you, as a figure not unknown Look in between the lines you have sown, you will find it's right here It's holding your hand, it will take you to land I know you better now, than I ever wanted And the sun in the sky I see looks the same Lay it down now, lay it down now, lay it down now, lay it down

Carry Me 05:53
drums, lead vox, guitars, synth, piano: kai ye old organ, banjo, field recording: francis bass, harmonies: charlie When you close the door everything seems to melt away But the cannonball staring you down is here to stay Jam your fear into a jelly jar Some day you’ll learn that they’re not so far Carry me through the garden leaves Bury me under white sea Carry me through the garden leaves Bury me under white sea ee ee e ee eeee e ee ee ee He leapt from me and went with the waves Leaving a smile, drifting slowly through his airspace I cannot explain what happens between the lines I know that I’ll be fine Carry me through the garden leaves Bury me under white sea Carry me through the garden leaves Bury me under white sea ee ee e ee eeee e ee ee ee {instrumental} Carry me through the garden leaves Bury me under white sea Carry me through the garden leaves Bury me under white sea ee ee e ee eeeeeeee!

guitar, bass, piano, vox: charlie drums, fuzz guitar, mellotron: kai accordion, casio: francis I hope you will not find me here i saw you through the thicket clear A jumbled mess of weeds and vines You called my name a second time And when heavy branches break I pray the lord my soul to take Soon we will be born again To float and flicker in the wind One day your thoughts will begin to die I love your mind, I love what's inside Throw a penny in the well And wish upon tomorrow Looking for a tree to burn Your trunk is full of sorrow I'll let you take me to the hill And feed me to the birds Even though they're staring fierce They'll whistle through your words One day your thoughts will begin to die I love your mind, I love what's inside I love your mind, I love what's inside

guitar, vox: kai guitar: charlie Did you see the children sleeping in bed mades of gold? And when they entered Barbed wire and steel their cheeks run black and cold And oooh I can hear their voices bred And oooh It takes some time to recognize We are not strangers of bigger size We are not eloquently thread With plastic needles in our head And your window's cracking From the wild cold Your blood is running still And the hands that hold you Foretold revenue They've grown weak and old And oooh I can hear their voices fly ANd oooh It takes some time to recognize We are not strange or bigger size We are not eloquently thread With plastic needles in our head And did you see the children sleeping In beds made of gold? And when they entered Barbed wire and steel their cheeks run black and cold And oooh I can hear their voices fly

Whalebelly 05:19
drums, bass, guitar, tambo, vox: kai casio, trumpet, fuzz, bowed bass: francis harmonies, fuzz guitar: charlie monologue reading: dave davison I want to step inside your Whalebellllllyyyyy Its chasm sinks around my boooooonnnes And I want to sing inside your chuuuuurrrrcch Reverberate through your castle walls We are your children We're on our kness We wait for whale wombs To swallow our seas And when you cry into the blue I will fall right into you and when I'm bred My skin will shed All blistered up, all white and red We are your daughters We're on our feet We are atom bombs Inside your heartbeat I wake up, distant cold The room I'm in is pulsating Breathing with nautical life. Swarms and swarms of Drifting fish with silky strands of silkworm seaweed Dance about my eyes And make me feel inanimate Soft and human. As water fills the lungs of Your whalebelly I begin to walk forward Looking outside Seeing the fish inside you, I turn to run Towards the soft yellow brightness of shore It, screaming out for Any kind of human blessings. The fish drop their coral excess And leave the dark belly Of the sea beast. As the water flows in, so does my tower, and everything turns black. A dark hue which fades with my memory. The water fills me up and I breathe back into my skull one last final time. My brain coming out of my eyelashes. Goodbye friend, may I always be inside your whalebelly.

drums, guitars, piano, chimes, vocals, other various field recordings: kai ontario, canada - iceberg (manipulated by kai) Chiming in through my window She whispers blue This is like a postcard This is all I ask of you Can you tell by the way it changes? Can you dance with its figure when it moves? Can you speak when it's over? When it's said and done You are a part of me You are my mother Now won't you sing for me? Just say something at all?

Caw Caw 03:04
guitars, bass, clarinet, drums, pianos, vox: kai trombone, euphonium, detuned bongos, accordion: francis We dream with one eye closed Save our heads from the dreadful crows You're a machine A face of fuzz Your blackened cheeks Run through me, through me Do you want to dance? Will I wake up? In a field of grass? A field of cold Eyed me once You didn't look back Taking my body Eyes going black I don’t know why it has to be I don’t know why it flew to me For to empty out my eyes and to linger in my brain For some reason I accept that it struggles to remain And now the crow is on my shoulder. His call wades through winter. My vomit runs through the water Because the crow knows my blood is warmer I don’t know why it has to be I don’t know why it flew to me Cause if my heart beneath you beseech the drowning crow Then tomorrow’s moon’s today, outside my fading glowwwwww

guitars, bass, drums/percussion, synth, tunnel vocals: kai bass: charlie accordion: francis drums, field recording: desi spoken word: penelope löwenstein I watched the cars pass By my window's crevaces On that little stoop where The squirrels would stop to say hello It was a really cloudy experience Once it happened I didn't know what hit me Or what I hit Cars still ringing in my ears, A white bird, Big as a child! With strong arms and a face with human emotion Flew past, through, directly at my face And the next thing I knew I had Swallowed it whole My mouth wrapped around, I clutched it tight and quickly gulped I felt it wriggle And the next week I layed its egg Now a beautiful human child Blossoming from my chest It had been waiting to be Swallowed by a sea

En Utero 05:40
drums, bass, guitars, singing saw, vox: kai guitars, ye old organ, euphonium: francis harmonies: charlie Can’t believe The people came To see them flying away Queen is staring down The hall through a sticky Wall of clay Mother's wings bloom today They would always speak Through their buzzy tongues Through the cities of mud Flying cross the sky And till the day that I die Just to watch from your sky In a nest of summer heat Through our picket fences Flying through the door Can’t believe the day has come To swallow your pretty maze I’m looking through shapes Of gold and wishing you would stay Until the day that I die
Just to watch from your sky In a nest of summer heat
And I can’t believe The people came To see them flying away
Cant believe we’ve come this far Cycling through the world Still holding on to the ones we pricked
Until the day that I die I will never feel like I do right now Days have come and days have flown away
But by the way that we breath And the way that we bleed We will never close this door
And I can’t believe The people came To see them flying away
Queen is staring down The hall through a sticky Wall of clay Through their buzzy tongues Through the cities of mud Flying cross the sky
Dripping honey of blood (Can’t believe we’ve come this far Cycling through the world Deterioration is my stitched up little pearl That continue to clings to my thoughts I will stay en utero Till you come back for more x2)

about

This album is a loose portrait of a sailor, inspired by old nautical folk tales and storybooks. A radio play of fuzzy twists and turns and fishies. We hope you enjoy xoxo
